Reconnect with Nature at the Phoenix Zoo

With miles of trails to wander and explore the Phoenix Zoo is the perfect place to spend a day with your family and reconnect with nature!

Nestled within the picturesque buttes of Papago Park, the Phoenix Zoo features more than 1,300 exotic animals, including several endangered and threatened species.

Get up-close and personal with our family of Bornean orangutans at the Zoo's newest exhibit - Orang-Hutan: "People of the Forest." You may also come face-to-face (or hand-to-fin) with amazing animals at the Giraffe Encounter, Monkey Village and Stingray Bay. Board the Safari Train, enjoy the Endangered Species Carousel or cruise around the lake on a pedal boat to enhance your Zoo experience.

Throughout the year, the Zoo offers many engaging educational programs. From early childhood and kids to adult and family programs there's something for everyone. Looking for a one-of-a kind summer camp? Join us for Camp Zoo! This week-long day camp for ages Kindergarten through 8th grade is filled with hands-on activities, animal encounters, outdoor exploration and a whole lot of fun!
